Acts of Nature: Work In Progress

Paul and Koni's Wonderful 2003 Adventures...
In 2003, we have dedicated our lives full-time to Acts of Nature^TM and are expanding our travels and ambitions to allow Paul to take even more stunning photographs from around the world. Here is just a quick recap of where we've been and where we plan to go!

In February, we spent 10 days sailing in the British Virgin Islands and then finished our Caribbean adventure with a few days in the rain forests of Puerto Rico where Paul took rolls of breathtaking photos. What great views for the portfolio!

In March, we spent 10 days on the gulf coast of Florida where we explored areas like St. Peter's Beach, Siesta Key and Sanibel Island off the coast of Ft. Myers. Being from South Dakota, it was nice to see water that wasn't frozen in March.

April was a time to discover new photographic techniques in Georgia’s Callaway Gardens. We spent a week with noted nature photographer, Nancy Rotenberg. Nancy is a great photographer as well as a great teacher.

May was spent exploring and photographing spring in South Dakota. There's nothing like seeing the first signs of the season with the emergence of crocus, tulips and pasque.

June brought Paul to a real South Dakota cattle roundup near Chamberlain on the Missouri River for a few day's worth of shooting. Then he traveled to the western side of the state to discover more new images of the Badlands and Black Hills of South Dakota.

Plans for summer and fall include creating a new 2004 jewel case calendar and a series of cards, training with noted photographer John Shaw in Colorado and days of shooting fall colors in the beautiful Colorado Rockies. This fall we will appear at several art shows including the Sioux Falls Sidewalk Arts Festival, a display at the Galleria in Minneapolis and a show at the South Dakota Governor's Hunt in Pierre, SD.
